Guitars based on Cars, or Guitcars..., or Cartars...?

If cars are my first love, guitars are a close second. Rock and roll and cars have long been linked together, and when these two worlds collide, it makes me very happy. Here are my favorite examples that I've come across.

This Gibson SG '63 Sting Ray special edition was built by their Custom Shop between 1995 and 1997 and only 40 examples were produced. It featured details like the "split window" pick guards, a chrome pickup cover that looked like a valve cover, and a case made with the same type of leather used in the interiors.

Sticking with the Corvette theme, earlier in 1995 Gibson also combined design features from the C1 Vette with their Les Paul model. As you can see, this Les Paul featured the side scoop from the C1 and also featured the crossed flags on the headstock, a fretboard inlay of "Corvette" in the same script found on the 1960 vette, and plates/covers engraved with "283" and "fuel injected" in period corvette script. Only 200 examples of these were made

I can't find a whole lot of information on these, but Bolin guitars made a limited run of these special editions to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Shelby Cobra.

And lastly, in a way different league from the first three, is the First Act Volkswagen guitar. Remember when VW's lineup had a 1/4" input jack hooked up to the car's stereo so you could play your guitar while driving or something? They gave these guitars away when you bought a new car. Not quite sure what exec signed off on that one, but I certainly remember the commercials. This guitar featured VW logos on the knobs and inlays.

Know of any other guitars influenced by automotive design? I don't mean the similarly named Fender Mustang or Bronco, or Gibson's Explorer or Thunderbird (is it weird that they're all Fords?)

Not as cool as the Sting Ray, but here's one for Grand-Am. Not sure of the tie-in.

Those Grand-Am guitars are really sweet. I think they give them to the podium finishers.

If they do, it's a pretty lame prize. Not against the guitar, but more so that any asshole can go out and buy one. They have ads for them in GRM all the time.

It has a working organ in the back, and I believe more than ten guitar amps,

bass amps etc. It also has a V8 I believe.

The pickguards on that last guitar reminds me of the Baldwins that The Shadows played briefly.
